Who is reading this blog?

Hi-- I'm just curious to know who my readers are. I have over 3,000 hits on this page so I know that somebody is reading it, but I have not been getting very many comments. Are you a working artist, illustrator, art teacher, just interested in art in general, or what?

If you have read more than a couple of my posts, you have probably picked up on the fact that my interests in art are pretty eclectic. When I post stuff, it's usually because it is just what has been on my mind lately, but if I could get a sense of who some of you are and what you are interested in, that might give me incentive to add some emphasis to certain topics.

So... I would really like to hear from you. If you have an interesting blog, I would be interested in swapping links to each other's page.

If you are not a regular blogger and don't know how to leave a comment, it's easy; just scroll to the bottom of the post you would like to comment on, and you will see something like this:

Posted by RJ at 8:00 PM 2 comments (or 3, or 0, or whatever)

Simply click on the word comments, and you will be taken to another page where you may leave your comment.

Again, it would be really great to hear from some of you!

Thanks--

Rick

Hi RJ,

I read it. While I'm not a visual artist, I find it entertaining, educational, often thought-provoking and sometimes humorous. Keep up the good work and, again, keep posting more of your own stuff, if possible.

Well... I do!
I am Dutch, Art Historian, christian, woman, married, like to write. I have a blog about my live, things I like or hate, about the small things and the big issues. About Art sometimes - like to do that more. I came across your blog by accident, liked it and linked your blog at my site.

I participate in an art study group. We recently discuss The Apocalyps and Arts. Very interesting.

Of course, you are welcome at my blog, but I doubt if you speak Dutch?!

Hello. Stumbled here by chance. Got bit by the art bug a while back, but didn't really start trying my hand at it until late 2007. It's definitely gone from an occasional hobby to something I spend a lot of time doing, especially now that I've gone from loose leaf paper and tempura to acrylics, oils and canvas. Anyway, always drop in to see what kind of stuff you dredge up, and I love your Photoshop manipulations!

Thanks for the add, I've linked you on mine as well. Looking forward to seeing more of your work. Checking out Ambient Anomaly now--this is good stuff, man!

Dear RJ,

I am a new artist who as s result of takin an art design class here in San Diego City College...discovered art! I am making works which I am calling my Chemo works.

I occasionally visit your blog, and I am intruiged at your art. I am also a lover of Gouache, and hope to be able to paint the face, body, and that stuff like only a true artist can.

Thank you for reading, Noe.

Hi, Rick!

I was linked into your blog (by Lon DuQuette) a bit back because your images of the alternate Magus cards from the Thoth deck would come through the firewall at work. When I started reading everything else I was surprised to find that you live in the same (general) corner of the world as me... The world just shrunk a bit more.
